Unboxing: 1/48 X-Wing Star Fighter (moving edition)

January 18, 2016

I don't want to delay this unboxing any further, but to start things off, I can say that this is a very successful kit release by Bandai. (not the cheapest) and just in time for the Star Wars season! Its packed with detail and gimmiks that you don't always find in all of their kits. Spot light on this kit's inner mechanism, which allows the X-Wing to have "realistic" movement all controlled by you. And to add to that, it has an LED system to go with, so that's 2 things you should keep you interested on this one already.

Box Art

The components are neatly packed into the box. One side for the runners, decals and its manual. And the other for the more fragile and intricate parts such as the base and the inner mech.

Not as intricate as you would have thought, the mechanism for the kit is pre built, so is the LEDs. Bright side is, you have less thing to worry about when putting this together.

Color Guide

Decals come in water slide and clear stickers, just like most Star Wars kits released by Bandai. Very user friendly I may say, allows you to choose what you are more comfortable working with.

And as you can see; the parts have a great amount of detail, which adds more plus points for this kit. Its very subtle from afar but I can say that it still plays a big role on the legitimacy of this release.

And to end this unboxing, here is how the moving parts and LED system looks like once it's all plugged in.

Based on the manual, it doesn't seem that advanced to put together, but when it's done successfully i can assure that this would be something awesome to have displayed in your cabinet.

Till next Time!
