Spent the first 2 weeks on assembling and modifying the kit as far as my imagination can carry. I usually work on projects like this months before the event, and knowing I had less than a month I really had to do the most with the little time I had. Got to complete painting in 2 days and another day to weather and panel line which was a day before the competition itself. (yes I crammed it)

It was also nice to see that two of my models are still being displayed in these kinds of events.

So much for a grand unveiling.. anyway, this was the final outcome of my submission. Nothing too fancy, and as you can see I wasn't able to work on a diorama due to the lack of time.

But at the end of the day, I brought home the bacon! I actually grabbed second place (don't mind the trophy they had a problem with the printing) despite the rushed build. I know I can do so much better, which I will try to do again next year. So I guess you can say that size does not matter :) everyone has a equal chance to win in competitions like this. I was so inspired by all the entries submitted this year, and it makes me want to do way better in the following competitions.

And just my luck, I got the one and only Katsumi Kawaguchi who was a judge this year to sign my box! (seen at the back) All in all, this GBWC was a great experience, and I hope to see more from this growing community next time!
