"5" Group Build [Gundam Eclipse]
March 22, 2014
The Theme:
To celebrate Gundam Eclipse’s fifth birthday, we will be hosting a special group build, which will run until July 2014.
The theme of this build will simply be “5”, and it is designed to stimulate creativity, be open and inclusive to modelers across all skill sets, and most importantly, it going to be a lot of fun to participate in.
With regards to the theme, we very much want to leave the interpretation down each modeler, but your project must in some way incorporate the number 5.
For Example (and its up to you to come up with your own interpertation):
Your paint scheme could incorporate five different colors/ shades
You could kitbash parts from five different models
The model could have five scratch built weapons
A large no five decal could be added to your entry
Five different colored LEDs could be added to your project
The Prizes:
As a little incentive to take part, and to finish your project on time (and to introduce some friendly competition ), the GE team will be awarding five special prizes at the end of the group build !
The most creative interpretation of the theme will be awarded a 2014 release Master Grade kit. At the time of writing this, it is intended to be the MG Turn X, which is schedule for release in June (but should the release be delayed there will be an option to change to an alternative MG). We will also have a number of RG sets to award in recognition of technical skill and implementation.
The Rules:
The group build will run from today, Friday 14th Feb 2014 until Monday 14th July 2014 (Five months)
Your entry must be a brand new project started after 14th Feb ( all 72hr participants will be allowed to carry their project over into this group build should they wish)
Gundam models only (and no grey kits or KO’s are permitted)
Your project must be painted.
