in this tutorial i would be tackling a very basic step in gunpla building, this would be a quick tutorial on how to read the manual of your gundam kits, and to those who already know how, feel free to continue reading.
when you unbox your kit always remember to check if all your parts are complete, there is a specific page which shows all of the contents of the box, so always remember to check this area of the manual before you begin assembling.
in each page there are instruction grids, start reading the top left grid of every page going to the right.
these are assembly numbers, assembly numbers tell you which instruction goes first. start with number one and follow the numbers going higher, this makes sure that all pieces would fit without any trouble and that it is attached the proper way.
next is locating the parts. to locate the parts there is a runner letter, and a part number. it looks like this:
the letter in bold is the runner classification, it tells which runner you can find your part. and the number encircled beside it is the part number.
every runner has its own letter, which makes locating it easier.
once you find the correct runner, there are small plastic squares beside each piece, this shows the piece number, locate the one with the same number as the piece you are looking for.
now that you have found the piece your looking for, now you need to remove it from its runner. thats when the cutter come in handy.
remember to always double check, because there are parts that look the same, but has its differences, if you happen to cut a part by accident, keep in a safe place and just get it again when you need it.
all manuals have chapters, it shows which part of the gundam you are working on like its legs, arms, torso etc. just remember to keep track on which area you are on so that you wont get confused.
till next time guys!
