hey guys whats up? this is going to be my first WIP contribution to this blog, so hope you appreciate it!
so my latest project at the moment is this advanced grade Gafran Custom a.k.a reaper (for reasons somewhat obvious) this was actually just a free kit i received from entering a competition a few months back, and it somehow ended up being one of my serious projects, serious as in "competition serious". might even plan on using it for GBWC '13 if it ends up looking really good.
so here is my progress at the moment, i kit bashed a bunch of kits taken from a NG, HG, and believe it or not, an MG. so yeah an advanced grade mixed up with a bunch of other kits, thats its summary. did some minor scratch building, and improved its articulation by at least 15%, i also plan on doing a diorama for this guy but that can wait till next time.
heres my first assembly of the prototype, not going to be the last. stuck this guy together with some elmer's glue, because i will still be disassembling him to paint. i then will be attaching its magnets and and pins, to hold the parts after. i finished test spraying the whole piece with primer, and i tried to roughen the texture a bit to give it a "realistic" look.
the arms i used aren't arms at all, they actually belong to the HG 00 raiser's legs, which i thought could make a good replacement for arms, moving and all. and the hands belong to the NG Blitz.

took the skull from MG Crossbone, and the shield from unicorn. and i always wanted a mouth guard.
hehe... mono eye. supposed to apply an LED but its head is quite small to fit one in nicely.
inspired from a baseball cap.
this is why i call this guy "reaper" i mean come on, the scythe? i also plan to make him hold a decapitated head when i make the diorama. still going to be upgrading this weapon.
haven't got to attach the metal thrusters yet, its quite easy to find out where it goes... its just one thruster.
